Mark Zuckerberg has little knowledge ?

Mark Zuckerberg has little knowledge ?. Facebook is the 5th most valuable company in the world, it must be something to call the Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg a layman. Yes, the unsaid has been said by none other than another tech nerd, the real life Tony Stark Elon Musk. A fresh spat surfaced between the two tech giants on their views about the future of artificial intelligence. The Facebook founder castigated Tesla founder for arguing that care and regulation were needed to safeguard the future of A.I.

“I have pretty strong opinions on this. I am optimistic”, Zuckerberg said during a Facebook live broadcast. “And I think people who are naysayers and try to drum up this doomsday scenarios….I just don’t understand it. It’s really negative and in some ways, I think it is pretty irresponsible”.

Responding to Zuckerberg’s remark, Musk said on Twitter: “I have exposure to the very cutting edge AI and I think people should be concerned about it. I’ve talked to Mark about this. His understanding of the subject is limited”. Musk added that a movie on the subject of Ai was “coming soon”.

Elon Musk is famous for his futuristic approach but Silicon Valley’s latest rush to exploit Artificial intelligence scares him. He once states “AI is a rare case where we need to be proactive in regulation instead of reactive because if we are reactive in AI regulation, it’s too late”.

Elon Musk began warning about the possibility of Al running amok three years ago. “I keep sounding the alarm bell but until people see robots going down the street killing people they don’t know how to react cause it seems so ethereal”, he said. Musk even co-founded a billion dollar non-profit whose goal is to create “safe AI” advertisement.

But contrary to what Musk says Zuckerberg doesn’t seem to be a novice here. He worked last year on developing an artificial intelligence system to help run his life and his home. After about 100 hours of work, he posted a video at the end of 2016 showcasing an AI system called JARVIS which is voiced by actor Morgan Freeman.

In his Facebook live broadcast, Zuckerberg said “If you are arguing against AI, then you’re arguing against safer cars that aren’t going to have accidents. And you’re arguing against being able to better diagnose people when they’re sick. I just don’t see how in good conscience some people can do that. I’m just much more optimistic on this in general than probably a lot of folks are”.

Well, only future will tell who is correct about this but this feud has sparked a widespread debate among people all over the world.

Interestingly this isn’t the first time the two billionaires have surfaced in news for debating. Last year SpaceX Falcon exploded on the Cape Canaveral launch pad carrying a Facebook satellite resulting in loss of $200 million for Facebook and guess what Mark Zuckerberg blamed Musk and his SpaceX team for this?
